Meet Our Youth Pastor
Pastor Tristan Bussard has served as the Youth Pastor of Trinity Baptist Church since April 2021. He has a sincere burden to see young people come to know Christ as their Savior and to help them grow spiritually through the teaching and application of God’s Word.
Tristan was born in Oregon and accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at the age of eight. In 2008 his family moved to Texas, and when he was fourteen years old they were invited to visit Trinity Baptist Church by the youth pastor at the time, Mark Oprzedek. From that first visit, the Bussard family knew they had found the church home the Lord had for them.
As a teenager at Trinity Baptist, Tristan faithfully attended Sunday School and the youth ministry’s Spiritual Growth Discipleship Emphasis classes. At the age of eighteen, while attending Teen Camp, the Lord called him into full-time ministry. He later surrendered to that call and began preparing for ministry at Trinity Baptist Bible College, graduating in 2019.
Tristan met his wife Catherine while they were serving as counselors at Junior Camp. Catherine trusted Christ as her Savior at the age of fifteen and is a pastor’s daughter from Lovington, New Mexico. They were married in 2017 and are blessed with three children — Helena, Madeline (“Madi”), and Conner.
The Bussards are grateful to serve the Lord at Trinity Baptist Church and are committed to investing in the lives of teenagers while raising their own children to love and follow Christ.
